axisVFX @ The VFX Festival
The teams at Axis Animation, axisVFX and Flaunt Productions had an awesome time earlier this month, descending on East London’s Rich Mix for the annual VFX Festival run by Escape Studios.
The Axis team was on hand throughout the festival, taking part in the recruitment hub to dish out career advice and job opportunities to talented individuals looking for a break.
Alongside our recruitment stand, Jill Wallace, our head of personnel and facilities joined a fascinating panel discussion with Blue Zoo, MPC Advertising, Milk, Climax Studios, The Mill, Framestore and the Creative Industries Federation to explore key advice for students in their journey into the world of VFX, animation, gaming and the wider creative industry.
Later in the festival, Jill headlined her own talk as she posed the question: Why Axis, Why Not?
Finally, axisVFX’s executive producer, Paul Schleicher and VFX supervisor, Grant Hewlett and Axis Animation’s creative director, Stuart Aitken entertained a packed crowd as they talked through the studio’s 2016 highlights and what’s to come in 2017.
“What is really exciting about Axis Studios is the variety of work we undertake across multiple platforms. Our showcase covered a range of TV series VFX, full CG games trailers and commercials,” said Paul Schleicher.
“We have three studios; Bristol, Glasgow and now London. The VFX Festival was a great chance to showcase the individual talents and collective strength of the group.”
If you were inspired to join the Axis team, we could have the position just for you. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch – send your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org
